I was visiting my friend yesterday, and she was telling me how her washer broke down about two weeks ago, so she's been taking her clothes to this place in North Chicago called Community Laundromat. I was blown away when I walked inside with her. This place was so clean, and the people that worked there were so nice and helpful. Their prices were pretty good and the washroom was clean. I wasn't expecting all of this. I wonder if it's cheaper to just use their facilities than to have to buy a new washer and pay for all that water, gas, and electric. I mean, this place is really nice. They had these big screen TVs in there and vending machines for snacking and drinks. My washer and dryer still work, but if I'm ever in need, I'll go to this place. Also, I saw their signs for drop off/wash and fold, alterations, and shoe repair. So, that's another bonus. I see why she's in no hurry to buy a new washer. I get it.

We took advantage of the drop off services for laundry while we were staying long-term at the RV park on base and we always had excellent service and turn around time; the clothes came back fresh and clean and nicely folded. This has been a God send!

I only need to come to the laundromat for my large blankets. This laundromat has extremely reasonable prices! 10 minutes dry time for a quarter! That's good from my experience. This is my second time here and both times I have been here the attendant has been extremely kind and helpful, she broke my 20 so I didn't have to get too many quarters and she washed my bleach container so I didn't get bleach everywhere (though I did get it everywhere and I was willing to wash it myself, she just was so kind and did it.). Also I should note the washing machines are clean and quick! I saw one out of order machine in the whole place and I think that's pretty good personally! There are coin machines that break 1, 5, 10, 20s, they also sell detergent and softener if you forgot your own. And vending machines for snacks and drinks while you wait. VERY CLEAN ESTABLISHMENT! I washed and dried 3 large blankets for under $25 in less than an hour and a half. I probably could have done it for cheaper if I put two in one washer but each blanket I washed on a different setting. This review is kind of all over the place but I have touched on all the things I think are important! Oh man I almost forgot, they have free wifi!!! I'll be back soon!
